A wooden clothing rail of linen garments in a sunlit backyard

Spring collection — Alder Lane

Clothing with a second spring

A small rotating rail of secondhand pieces, photographed and priced by hand.

Folded secondhand garments stacked on a weathered wooden table

The story

It began as one rail under a tree

Every spring the closets empty. Coats that no longer fit, denim worn to the right softness, a dress kept for a season that never came. Rather than let it go quietly, it goes out to the yard.

The rail stands beside the gate from March through June. Pieces are cleaned, mended where they need it, photographed in the morning light, and listed here with a single price.

How it works

Photographed, priced, posted

  1. 01

    Photographed on arrival

Each piece is shot in daylight the day it comes in. What you see is the garment, not a stand-in.

  2. 02

    Priced once, plainly

One number, listed beside the photo. No bidding, no bundles, no negotiation at the gate.

  3. 03

    Held until Saturday

Reserve by email and the piece waits on the rail with your name on it until closing.

In their words

I found a linen coat that had clearly been loved and was still perfect. It cost less than lunch.

Marguerite L.

The photographs are honest. Nothing arrived looking different than it did on the site.

Devon A.

A backyard, a rail, and better taste than most stores downtown.
